Light Creatures of The Cuyahoga

The high grasslands don't give away too many secrets. At certain times of the year I'm walking in grasses as tall as I am. It's always been this way. There was a field that we used to roam where there weren't even animal paths to follow. We would jump up out of the grass at intervals to see if we were going in the right direction. 

I was first warned about both the light and dark creatures by my mother. She grew up along the river and had encountered them. I have never seen one but my son did and when he asked me what was the light that came from the valley and crawled under the neighbors door I told him that no one really knows.

I don't know what they are or why they're here and I keep my eye out just in case one crosses my path. They're described as large, bright light blobs that move like snails but can flare when they want to.
